About SCORM

What is it? "SCORM - which stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model - is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. SCORM tells programmers how to write their code so that it can “play well” with other eLearning software. It is the de-facto industry standard for eLearning interoperability. Specifically, SCORM governs how online learning content and Learning Management Systems (LMSs) communicate with each other." (scorm.com)

Why are stories SCORM-compatible? Although we do not encourage exporting your platform stories for use on SCORM-compliant platforms (you will lose a lot of analytical data in the process), we do cater to subscribers who only want to use our platform as their authoring tool, i.e. choose to distribute stories via a separate platform.

Important Info

SCORM export validation We validate & support SCORM standards as per scorm.com and SCORM Cloud. This means that we have developed the export package and tested it on SCORM Cloud.

Contact your support team If exported packages do not appear to work on your chosen Learning Management System (LMS) or SCORM-compatible platform, please retest on SCORM Cloud. If it works on SCORM Cloud, you need to contact your LMS vendor for support. Bugs and Errors If you have tested your SCORM package on SCORM Cloud but the export does not work there, you can contact support by submitting a ticket through Resolve.

SCORM Export Terms

  1. Our SCORM packages come with a license and related terms of use. Please refer to the platform Terms & Conditions which you agree to when using the platform.

  2. SCORM packages are limited in their analytic ability due to the nature of SCORM. The exported story can therefore only offer a very basic version of analytics, in comparison to the in-depth insights provided by our platform.

  4. Assignment uploads are not possible on SCORM.

  5. We suggest you have support teams in place to deal with your chosen LMS import. Our platform allows the export of SCORM packages but does not support external LMS systems.

  6. Export packages do not come with a warranty and we do not guarantee that exports will work. Our platform will not be held liable for any errors when exports are used outside of the platform, even in the event that an export does not work on SCORM Cloud.

  7. SCORM packages only work on evergreen browsers, including IE 11 and above. Older browsers are not supported.
